DAVID J. BOLGER

President — Corporate//Education Consulting, Inc.

David Bolger is president of Corporate//Education Consulting, Inc. (C//ECI), a firm he co-founded with Carolyn Warner. He directs C//ECI’s consulting practice, and works with clients, allies and strategic partners on communications, strategic planning, and media and government relations.

From 1977 – 1986, Bolger served as Executive Assistant to Carolyn Warner during her tenure as Arizona’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction. He acted as chief communications, political, and policy-initiative director for the Department of Education, and led the management of a wide variety of major statewide educational initiatives. He also served as liaison to the Arizona Legislature for the Department and the State Board of Education/Career and Technical Education.

A veteran writer and political, communications, and media strategist with over fifty years of experience in corporate, public, non-profit, and government-sector management, Bolger has directed over forty political campaigns in Texas and Arizona. He has collaborated, co-authored, or contract-written seven books and hundreds of articles and publications.

Bolger is a member and past chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Opera, a member and former Vice-Chair of The University of Texas College of Education Foundation Advisory Council, and an advisory committee member of the University’s Center for Education Policy. He is Vice President of the Ex-Students Association (Texas Exes) – Phoenix Chapter, and a member of The University of Texas Chancellor’s Council and the Littlefield Society. Bolger is a member of the Arizona Manufacturing Partnership and the Education/ Workforce Development Committee of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also chairs the Vestry of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, and is chairman of the Board of Directors of Young Arts Arizona, Ltd.

A native and former Mayor of Mount Vernon, Texas and a Plan II graduate of The University of Texas, Bolger served in the Texas Air National Guard and was at one time the youngest mayor in Texas. He and his wife, Mary Lynn, a speech-language pathologist, have been Scottsdale residents since 1970. They are delighted that their daughter Roz Abero (Assistant Head of School at Phoenix Country Day School), her husband Inaudi, and their son Edu, live nearby in Phoenix.
